Hubbard Digital Academy is a one-day event designed for small business owners and marketing professionals who want in-person training to leverage the power of digital. This energetic, educational event will be held at Union Depot on March 21, 2018, and includes 12 breakout sessions, a full lunch and continental breakfast, Special Keynote Speaker – "Think Great's" Erik Therwanger, and giveaways throughout the day. Along with a degree in Strategic Communication, she studied Fashion at the University of Minnesota, which makes her an avid trend seeker across a variety of industries. She is able to see the importance of social media converting into sales and has an understanding of both a big and small brand standpoint, as she did social media for Mall of America, prior to joining the Hubbard Interactive team. Always interested in the latest and upcoming trends in social media, fashion, and health, Jayna has a very futuristic mindset and is always seeking “what’s next” to improve her clients’ needs. Jayna is a Hubbard NextGen, a group that was selected within the company to come up with ideas for the future. Her go-getter attitude has given her the ability to grow both her accounts and help the company gain more business in the last year as Senior Social Media Strategist, assisting the Social Media Services Manager on pitches and presentations.
As the Social Media Services Manager for Hubbard Interactive, Melissa’s position entails working with clients and team members to drive social media strategy and lead initiatives to identify new technologies and digital best practices. She develops customized micro and macro campaigns that drive online interaction, promotes and creates content that enhances the customer experience and creates lead generation for medium to large-scale companies. Melissa regularly speaks at local and national events on a variety of subjects including: social media, PR, analytics and content strategy. She was awarded the Advertising Federation of Minnesota’s 32 Under 32 Award, given to the top marketing professionals in the advertising industry who are under the age of 32 and the Radio Wayne Award for one of the Top Interactive Sellers in the country.
Leading Brandography, Hubbard Interactive’s SEO partner and award-winning digital marketing company, Jason Dailey is well accomplished in identifying, launching, and elevating the success of new business concepts. Sound business savvy, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a ferocious work ethic, is native to Jason Dailey. Upon graduation from the Univ of WI – Madison, Jason pursued an entrepreneurial track, leading multiple successful ventures including building a lucrative restoration company, running a profitable health and wellness business, and overseeing operations for other organizations prior to launching Brandography and partnering with Hubbard.
Jason’s integrated model represents a comprehensive marketing approach adhering to latest and best SEO practices. In working through Hubbard Interactive, Jason provides website and app design and development, marketing strategy creation, brand identity and deployment, videography and photography, content marketing including technical writing of white papers, blogs, press releases, and website copy, and ongoing marketing including pay per click, managed ad placements, social media, and technical SEO. Tracking and reporting of marketing strategies is key in supporting a responsive marketing approach.

After graduating summa cum laude from St. Catherine University in December 2016, Isabella joined the Hubbard Interactive team ready to put her Communications, Marketing, and Graphic Design studies to use. While in school, she ran numerous social media accounts for foundations (one funded by Paris Hilton’s grandpa – yes, you read that right) and local nonprofits. As a Social Media Coordinator, Isabella assists the Social Media Strategists in creating targeted content and paid social advertising for various clients. She enjoys approaching every-day situations and thinking about how a brand can join the conversation with their unique voice and marketing goals in mind. She also aids in the creative design process with her extensive Photoshop background. Though her career has just started, she brings her current talents to Hubbard Interactive with an enthusiasm to learn more. When she’s not working, Isabella can be found enjoying a good cup of coffee, participating in the Twin Cities foodie/art scene, and jamming out to various kinds of music. Not country though, sorry not sorry.
Katie is a Graphic Designer at Hubbard Interactive creating mostly digital designs for a wide variety of clients. Originally wanting to be an art major, she realized that the digital world was growing rapidly and the need for graphic design would continue to grow as well. Transferring her art skills to the computer came naturally and she holds a BA degree in Graphic Design. She has a background in marketing and sales, and has worked with both large and small companies. She views good design as a puzzle with all its pieces in the right place. She still paints when she has time, but spends most of her creativity on the computer or behind the lens of a camera. Katie loves Starbucks, and her top 5 strengths are empathy, developer, strategic, includer and futuristic.
Devin is ecstatic to be a part of the team of Social Media Strategists at Hubbard Interactive. She hails from Winona State University and will have a hard time not correcting you’re grammar or spelling errors (see what she did there). She thrives while collaborating with her team to find ways to implement creative and successful strategies for her small-business clients. When enjoying nice weather, eating good food (pizza + tacos especially), or reading her horoscope, she is in her happy place. Whether it’s your birthday, your break-up, or Tuesday, Devin is there to make the most out of any occasion. She is driven by inspiring others, having new experiences, and making things happen.
With a background in Digital Marketing, Tory is a Social Media Strategist for Hubbard Interactive. She gets her kicks from figuring out how to take clients from all industries digital presence above and beyond. As a Google Analytics, Twitter Flight School and HubSpot Content Marketing certified professional, she sees the power that the digital world can have for a brand. The numbers never lie (usually), and she uses them to help guide marketing decisions. With a double degree in Communications and Spanish from Iowa State University, Tory uses her “Iowa Nice” background to connect with people from all walks of life. Even though she works in digital marketing, she still uses paper to make a list. Otherwise, you’ll find Tory practicing yoga followed by eating a pint of ice cream.
As a social media strategist at Hubbard Interactive, Ashley has a passion for all things social media. She works with clients to grow their brands and to help them be more digitally relevant in their industry. After completing a social media campaign for the Department of Homeland Security, she saw the power and impact that social media can have when it comes to targeting audiences, predicting behavior, and having a message be heard. Ashley believes that the one thing that sets brands apart is how well they connect and engage with the people that they are trying to target and help. Ashley holds a BA in communication studies and international relations from Saint Cloud State University. She is a highly creative marketer who can always be trusted to come up with a new and unique approach. Outside of work, Ashley can be found traveling to new places, where she will most likely be trying new and exciting foods that she will then capture on Instagram to show off to all her followers.
As the Videographer for Hubbard Interactive, Pat produces videos for the Twin Cities Hubbard Radio stations that range from event recaps to social video promos. He also produces an array of videos for sales clients – from testimonial videos to product how-to videos; from spotlight interview videos to animated infographic videos. He loves to tell stories – big or small. His love for Mountain Dew borders on addiction, and he has two puppies named #OakleyRembrandt and #GemmaWatson (check out their hashtags on Instagram!).
Bernie Laur is the Director of Digital Sales for the Hubbard Interactive – Twin Cities and has been running the Digital Sales organization since October of 2008. Since arriving at Hubbard, Bernie has been instrumental in creating Hubbard’s Social Media Management and Marketing and Digital Display advertising platforms. Bernie and Hubbard Interactive have partnered with sister company, 2060 Digital, to also offer businesses SEO, PPC, Website creation, Email Marketing and Management, Podcasting, and much more. Bernie is a 30 year veteran in the broadcasting and digital fields. Before Hubbard, Bernie was General Sales Manager of WKTI Radio in Milwaukee; he lived the “Hip Hop Dream” as GSM of B96 Radio in the Twin Cities; and he co-created and managed the CBS Retail Group – Twin Cities. Bernie holds a BA in Journalism/Mass Communications from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Having been born and raised in Milwaukee, Bernie is not just a Green Bay Packers fan, he’s a season ticket holder and owner!
Mariana was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires and an Associate’s degree in Scriptwriting at the Institute of Radiophonic Studies (I.S.E.R.).
She moved to the United States 13 years ago to work for a small web development firm in Stillwater, MN. In 2015 she started Fusion Technologies & Design and has been busy designing and developing websites ever since.
Mariana specializes in front-end web development and website design, but also has the expertise to tackle any graphic project: from logos and presentations to artistic and technical illustrations. She loves crafting a website from scratch and the process of bringing it to live with the latest technology.
She is always in search of new challenges and trouble shooting websites’ technical issues is one of her favorite pastimes (even when she is not at work!).

He gets a thrill out of pushing marketing limits and reaching ambitious goals while finding realistic ways of accomplishing success. Jordan may keep his eyes on the stars, but his feet stay on the ground (Thank Theodore Roosevelt for the poster above his bed). He’s more than just a thinker, he can take innovative ideas and bring them to life. Jordan takes pride in his ability to take a brand to the next level, creatively problem solve, and engage diverse audiences. He’s not your typical cell phone dependent millennial, he still rings doorbells and has a house phone as a reminder of simpler days. Outside of social media, he is a film-fanatic, has an immense love for reality tv, and enjoys reenacting scenes from movies by visiting where they were filmed. Jordan’s closing statement: “Born and raised on the oxford comma.”
While attending Augsburg College, he began working in the field of Marketing at Nike, Inc. As a Product Presentation Manager & Social Media Specialist, he provided premium consumer services support by monitoring and responding to inbound service-related messages in a variety of Nike communities via social media & email. Throughout his career, Eric has been working with cross-functional teams to approach Digital Marketing in a way that pushes boundaries and connections. He has a deep understanding of marketing initiatives, software services, web properties and social events. As an influencer himself, he enjoys the digital engagement between products and content creation. Originally from Brownsville, Texas, while not busy at work, Eric competes in summer volleyball & Road Races while spending the remainder of his off time with his black lab named Cooper.
Ruth Tambornino is the Digital Brand Strategist at Hubbard Interactive, Hubbard’s Digital Agency. Prior to joining Hubbard Interactive, she Senior Manager of Field Strategy at Dex Media. Her role at Dex included bringing new digital products to market, training marketing consultants and working with key client accounts. In addition to Dex Media, Ruth spent a year working with a start up software company as Director of Sale Enablement. Ruth has over 10 years of experience in digital marketing. A former small business owner and Real Estate professional, Ruth understands the challenges business owners face. Her professional focus is to educate business owners on the importance of digital marketing. With solid understanding of messaging and digital platforms, Ruth has worked with 100’s of clients locally and nationally, impacting their business in a positive way. Areas of expertise include PPC, SEO, Digital Display, Websites and Mobile platforms. Over the course of her career, Ruth has received several awards for sales and training. She is certified in Google AdWords and is currently completing her business degree at Saint Mary’s University. She is also on the Board of Directors for Alliance of Women in Media.

Brandon Trame manages all activities regarding the production and launch of digital media campaigns and products (e.g. websites, mobile sites, SEO, SEM, display advertising, and email marketing). A Cincinnati native and graduate of the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati (Entrepreneurship & Marketing), he is the Digital Project Manager at 2060 Digital and manages all paid search campaigns through Google AdWords & Bing. His previous experience was working with Global Customer Experience at Google where he started his career in paid search.
